INGREDIENTS

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 12 slices.
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add the milk, brown sugar and nutmeg; stir well to combine.
  2. Soak bread slices in the egg mixture until saturated.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Brown slices on both sides, sprinkle with cinnamon and serve hot.

This is an easy but delicious French Toast recipe I like to use. The thing that makes this special is adding the brown sugar to the egg mixture. Tastes soooo good!
